The first step is often the hardest.
We’re with you every step of the way.
Who is Sydney Therapeutic Practice?
Sydney Therapeutic Practice is a psychotherapy service that understands healing is a journey. Our relational approach draws on a range of therapies, including gestalt, trauma-informed care, and person-centred therapy that is tailored to support you every step of the way.
With over 25 years experience working in the for-purpose sector we have supported individuals who have experienced trauma, addiction, grief and loss as well as those in the helping professions who may be experiencing the impact of their work. Our therapist provides a safe and supportive space where you can explore your experiences, build resilience, and develop skills to improve your wellbeing.
If you or someone you know would benefit from having someone to talk to, or if you are a helping professional in need of support, don’t hesitate to reach out. Contact Sydney Therapeutic Practice to find out more about our services and how we can support you in your healing journey.
Welcome to our Therapeutic Practice, where we invite you to start ‘A Journey to Healing.’ We offer personalised therapies to meet your unique needs. Your path to a happier, healthier self starts here.
I understand that taking the first step can be the hardest and recognise the strength it takes. I practice a person-centred holistic approach that encourages you to navigate your healing journey at your own pace and in your way. I recognise the importance of the support of others in managing life’s challenges, and offer my experience, empathy, and humanity to aid you on your journey.
I understand that what life throws at us is not a choice, and fairness and equality aren’t always present. I am committed to working with you in a relational style of therapy. I deeply value the transformative power of empathy and humane connection and strive to create this in our sessions. I recognise the strength and resilience in all of us and with you cultivate a space where you can authentically connect with your inner experiences and build a new awareness of our internal resources.
As an accredited Gestalt psychotherapist, I prioritise the therapeutic relationship and embrace a holistic, person-centred approach. My passion for fostering supportive communities led me to study the Yalom method of group work. I am deeply invested in supporting frontline workers, which is why I focused my Masters research on how to address vicarious trauma within in the workplace and obtained qualifications in group crisis intervention as well as becoming an accredited Compassion Fatigue Educator with the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology.
I have been working in the for-purpose sector for over 25 years and consider myself to be a selfcare nerd. I have been studying and developing selfcare practices since 2009 and have written and delivered workshops for Centre for Community Welfare Training and supported frontline workers for over a decade in managing the impact of their work.
My studies and experience has led me to specialise in areas close to my heart: trauma, addiction, relational issues, and the complexities of grief and loss. I’m committed to fostering genuine connections in my therapy and strive to create an authentic and empathic connection in supporting you in your healing journey.

Acknowledgement of Country
Sydney Therapeutic acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Australians and the Traditional Custodians of the lands where we live, learn, and work.
We pay our respects to their Elders, their culture and connection to their land, skies, and waters. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded and acknowledge that this always was and will be traditional land.
We are strengthened by the courage and resilience of our Traditional Custodians in dealing with the injustices of the past and offer support in their journey of healing.
This program dives deep into the process of vicarious traumatisation and unpacks the normal signs and changes that occur when supporting those who have experienced trauma. We strive to create a safe and supportive group environment in which you learn and develop techniques to alleviate the impact of the work.
Our specialised selfcare check-in incorporates proven tools and techniques refined over 15 years of experience. We create a personalised, intentional selfcare plan tailored to your unique needs, helping you achieve balance, reduce stress, and enhance overall wellbeing.
